Grandezza baking station: helping the silver generation retain precision in baking.

Summary

Grandezza is a compact baking oven that ensures users get the best baking results, as it stores baking recipes and is able to adjust itself for human behavior.  Large, simple to understand icons provide a useful guide to following recipes and ensure maximum precision.

Objective

Grandezza’s objective was creating a baking oven that perfectly meets the needs of the user, while reducing the steps required for cooking, and allowing for basic human errors. 

The Problem

Michelle, 67, loves to bake for her friends and family. Baking requires precision, and as Michelle has aged her vision and sense of smell have declined, depriving her of two extremely useful cooking tools. Her reduced senses make it more difficult to perform functions such as measuring ingredients and adjusting oven temperatures and cooking times.

The Solution: The Grandezza baking station

The Grandezza baking station aids in the entire baking process by offering clear, recognizable visual cues on a large, easy-to-see interface that is located on top of the product. A dehumidifier in the pastry-cooling compartment ensures crispiness. It also offers a non-stick working top and is compact enough to fit in most kitchens.

Members of the silver generation may have trouble handling precise operations, such as advanced baking techniques, owing to reduced motor skills. Grandezza’s easy-to-use (yet professional looking) interface helps older users retain the correct precision.

• Precision: Grandezza’s large, easy-to-see interface makes it very easy to adjust cooking temperatures.  Simple icons also guide the user through the cooking process. 
• Elevating oven: The oven elevates to increase accessibility.
• Grilling platform: Grandezza’s grilling platform can be used to keep pastries crisp and warm.
• Intuitive technology: Grandezza is so easy to use that even those without baking skills can use it and enjoy excellent results. It stores different baking recipes and procedures for easy reference.
• Compact size: Grandezza’s compact size makes it ideal for small kitchen spaces. Despite its’ compact size, it has a professional look and feel.

Grandezza has returned the joy of baking to Michelle.  Grandezza’s advanced technology and intuitive interface have greatly reduced cooking errors, which means every pastry Michelle cooks is one she can be proud of.  Her friends and family love her pastries, and Grandezza is Michelle’s most highly prized possession.
